Dimensiuni ale bullying-ului în școlile din România: studiu în rândul copiilor de vârstă școlară mică

În multe țări din întreaga lume, bullying-ul este o problemă serioasă pe care autoritățile școlare trebuie să o rezolve. În rândul copiilor de vârstă școlară din România, bullying-ul a început să fie investigat mai ales în ultimul deceniu. Acest studiu cantitativ a urmărit examinarea relațiilor dintre riscul pentru pentru agresiuni/victimizare (directă/indirectă) prin bullying în mediul școlar și caracteristicile socio-demografice ale copiilor de vârstă școlară mică (sexul, vârsta, rezidența și statutul familial). Participanții au fost 229 de elevi de clasele a III-a și a IV-a din nouă instituții de învățământ publice. Eșantionul a inclus 122 băieți și 107 fete. Elevii au completat versiunea în limba română pentru Illinois Bully Scale-Student Version (IBS; Espelage și Holt, 2001). Participanții au mai completat cinci itemi care au operaționalizat expunerea indirectă (ca martor ocular) la bullying. Comparativ cu fetele, băieții au obținut scoruri mai ridicate atât pentru statutul de agresor, cât și pentru cel de martor ocular la acte de bullying. Nu s-au înregistrat diferențe semnificative din punct de vedere statistic în funcție de vârstă, rezidență și statutul familial. Atât pentru eșantionul total, cât și pentru subeșantioanele diferențiate în funcție de sexul elevilor, scorul pentru statutul de agresor a corelat pozitiv cu indicatorii victimizării prin bullying. Sunt prezentate câteva direcții care pot fi valorificate în elaborarea strategiilor pentru prevenirea și diminuarea bullying-ului în școli.
