Premise ale succesului programelor de deradicalizare

Evoluțiile subsecvente evenimentelor de la 11 septembrie 2001, precum și „globalizarea” fenomenului terorist au adus în prim-planul factorilor de decizie necesitatea elaborării și implementării unor programe de deradicalizare a extremiștilor violenți, această abordare fiind văzută ca având un scop preventiv pe termen lung. Prezentul articol își propune să realizeze o prezentare a principalelor modele de înțelegere ale procesului de radicalizare, dar și o evaluare a literaturii de specialitate în
vederea identificării acelor elemente comune care contribuie la succesul procesului de deradicalizare. Deși aceste programe sunt încă la un nivel incipent al dezvoltării lor, se pot distinge o serie de elemente precum implicarea comunității, utilizarea mentoratului ori a teoriei căutării însemnătății care și-au dovedit eficiența în reintegrarea foștilor extremiști. De asemenea, o serie de concepte teoretice și practici, care și-au dovedit validitatea în practica reintegrării sociale a infractorilor, pot fi aplicate cu succes în cadrul procesul de deradicalizare. Cu toate acestea un proces de evaluare eficient nu poate avea loc dacă nu este asigurat accesul în condiții de transparență a cercetărilor la rezultatele programelor.
