This study examined the psychometric properties of the Romanian version of the Individual Entrepreneurial Intent Scale (IEIS), used to estimate the self-acknowledged intention of a person to implement a business venture. The research was based on a sample of 900 technical students (380 women; 520 men; mean age = 21.06 years). Participants completed a survey that included both the target scale and the Entrepreneurial Intention Questionnaire to measure entrepreneurial intention and its determinants: personal attitudes toward entrepreneurship, social norms, and perceived behavioral control. The analyses assessed the structural validity and gender invariance, as well as its internal consistency. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a stable unidimensional structure of the Romanian version (χ²/df = 2.21, CFI = 0.998, TLI = 0.989, RMSEA = 0.047, SRMR = 0.036) with evidence of gender invariance. McDonald's omega and Cronbach's alpha coefficients indicated an adequate level of internal consistency (α = 0.838; ω = 0.837). Moderate correlations supported the convergence between the two measures of entrepreneurial intention. The results suggest that this adaptation offers a valid and reliable option for assessing entrepreneurial intention among Romanian technical students.
