Profil de personnalité de l’adolescent du point de vue des orientations de valeur

Abstract

This article describes the authors’ conceptions regarding values, value orientations, value system, as well as principles of organization and functioning of values. There are presented criteria for classifying values (M. Rokeach, S. Schwartz, M.S. Yanitski, А.V. Serâi, V. Gouveia) which are the basis of many researches conducted in this domain. Our study aims to highlight the value profile of adolescent’s personality, realized from the perspective of terminal and instrumental values, that include the preferred, indifferent and insignificant values. This profile was established after applying the Value Orientation Test (M. Rokeach) to a sample of 2029 adolescents. Respectively, we determined that for the surveyed adolescents prioritary were the following terminal values: health; happy family life; love; active and interesting life; wisdom, as well as inner harmony. According to the ranks obtained for instrumental values in the profile of adolescent’s personality, the instrumental values as: manners and politeness; intelligence and education; independence; self-control; rationalism and responsibility were outlined as a priority.
